HUNT FOR HILLS
(or Hotter than Hell)

The Pedal Pack of the Pee Dee bicycle club presents the fifth annual Hunt for the Hills.  A English century (100 miles), a metric century (62.4 miles) and a family fun ride (15 miles) benefiting the McLeod Breast Center, the historical back swamp school house, and the Palmetto Cycling Coalition.  The ride will begin at Back Swamp School House (click here for directions) and travel north into Darlington County.  Utilizing back roads, riders will travel through the communities of Darlington, Hartsville and Patrick. The Family fun ride will be mostly flat.  Those choosing the metric century will encounter a few rolling hills while the century riders will experience about 30 miles of surprisingly ling rolling hills beginning around mile 35.  There will be rest stops providing rest rooms, healthy snacks, water, sports drinks, and first aid supplies.

The rides will start at 8:00.  There will be no mass start.  Following the ride, chill out with a meal.

Early sign-in/Packet Pick-up for Hunt for the Hills tour will be at Bicycle World from 3-6pm on Saturday, August 10th.
